Solomon Kyazze is an accomplished aviation professional with over eight years of experience in Human Resource Management and Aeronautical Information Management (AIM). He currently serves as the President of the Uganda Aeronautical Information Services Officers’ Association (UGAISOA), where he provides strategic leadership aimed at advancing the professional, technical, and welfare interests of AIS/AIM officers across Uganda. Prior to this role, he served the association as its Vice President for three years.
Holding a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Aviation Management from JAIN University, India, and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Makerere University, Solomon combines technical expertise with strong managerial insight. His academic and professional background has strengthened his understanding of the interdependence among aviation’s diverse stakeholders in achieving safety and efficiency goals. His specialization in Safety Management Systems (SMS) has particularly shaped his vision of cultivating a strong safety culture within AIS/AIM and the broader aviation industry.
Beyond his leadership position at UGAISOA, Solomon is a certified AIM Competency Assessor, On-the-Job Training Instructor, and an active shop steward, where he champions professional standards, continuous learning, and staff welfare. As a member of his organization’s Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Committee, he contributes to initiatives that promote workplace safety and resilience.
Solomon is passionate about legacy-building, mentorship, and driving positive change within the aviation community. He believes that aviation professionals have a vital role not only in ensuring air navigation safety but also in shaping the industry’s future through innovation, collaboration, and professional excellence. Under his leadership, UGAISOA continues to thrive as a hub for knowledge-sharing, advocacy, and empowerment for all AIS/AIM officers in Uganda.
